Christmas is crazy time. Everybody's chasing around gifts and food. It's damn cold, wind burns your lovely kiddish face. Your hands turn blue in a minute. And no fucking idea what you're gonna offer to Grandma? Christmas is mad time. So tired, it's still dark when you leave home everyday. Nightfall set an hour ago when you're getting back from work.
Mais Noël, c'est aussi les gauffres, les chichis, le vin chaud aux épices. Les soirées au coin du feu, les pare-brises à gratter le matin, les écharpes de toutes les couleurs, et la bière de Noël!
It's usually easy to make gifts to people you well know. Because you're talking at lot with them. Meaning normally you know their tastes, and needs. If not, you're talking to much about you man! Some ideas for those of you always saying "I got no idea what to get to Grandma". And Grandma's gonna thank me hopefully...
- Chocolate, macarons, Christmas sweeties. you always got it right unless they don't like chocolate or sweeties... (It can happen, it met crazy people sometimes)
- Tickets for shows (Concerts, One-man show, Circus, major football games, ...)
- Scarfs (écharpe, I didn't know the word either, of no need in Australia...) . Everybody need some at present time, don't you?
- Smiles. It costs nothing and can bring so much to both the sender and receiver.
One more thing. Please accept every single gift as you really need it. Even if it looks like an old and dirty sweat shirt... This is no hypocrisy, just the fact you're thanking him or her that he thought of you. That's already a big move, isn't it? You didn't get me? Nevermind, most of us, are too materialistic anyway.
If it does not answer to your question "
what to do for Christmas", you can fuck up a big mess. At least, it will be better than nothing...
